It's with great pleasure I welcome you to my blog. My name is Sujeevan and I'm an IELTS teacher. Currently I'm preparing students for IELTS at a private college in Male', Maldives. My native place is Sri Lanka and English is my second language.
I have been coaching IELTS for the past 5 years. I started my profession as teacher of English. IELTS became a part of my career when I was once accidentally given an opportunity to handle a class. Varies language components of IELTS fascinated me. I developed a real passion for it. With an intention of taking up my own class of IELTS students, I started attending workshops and seminars at the British Council. I was also able to complete a few online training courses as well.
During this short period, I learnt many things from my peer teachers and students. I meet students from all walks of life. I have also done several case studies of successful candidates who figured out their own tricks and tactics to target for a higher band score.
The main objective of this blog is to interact with learners and teachers around the world in order to discuss and resolve certain practical issues encountered in the process of preparing for the IELTS exam. And that’s why I have made this blog more interactive and conversational.
